Patti is looking for love and she thinks she may have found it, at the Westminster Dog Show. In the latest parody of the Bachelor and Bachelorette series, Patti, a nineteen year old dental hygienist from California, stars as the Barkchelorette, a woman looking for a dog to be the love of her life.
At the top of the episode, Patti reveals that after failed attempts at online dating, she is open to new love. She intends to get to know some great dogs at the dog show in attempts to find the one.
But before you find a prince, you have to kiss a few frogs. The first dog Patti meets is all over her with licks and cuddles. Patti announces, “Way too fast for me!” Next she meets a well-groomed dog but his trainer shares that he is already a father and has his own house. While Patti is hesitant about dating a father, she is glad to see he’s in his children’s lives.
Patti moves on to a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel who, based on his name, she thinks comes from money. She then tries to talk politics with the Target dog, who is having none of it. Finally she finds Dirk, a mellow dog that she can see herself wanting to Netflix and chill with. But that’s before she meets Cash, a bad boy who is trapped behind bars in his crate. Patti tells him she’ll wait for him.
Patti then meets a dog who overdressed for the date, a female dog she is considering pursuing and finally, Marquis, a dog who really captures her heart. Patti gets down on all fours to offer Marquis a rose thinking that he might be the one.
That is until she spots her ex getting groomed across the room. In typical Bachelor fashion, Patti freaks out, rips off her mic and storms out. The producers eventually convince her to continue on her journey to find love. But Patti knows she isn’t ready. Patti tells the viewers that while she did meet a lot of great dogs, she needs to focus on loving herself first. And once she’s done that, then maybe she’ll be ready for a dog in her life.
