In this video a baby emu decides to pester some basset hounds and test their level of patience. According to the American Kennel Club, basset hounds are a dog breed known for their patience and low-key nature. But in this Minnesota household, an emu decides to put the patience of basset hounds to the test.
The first basset hound simply observes the baby emu and allows the emu to peck its long, floppy ears. But as soon as the emu runs around the room, the basset hound goes on all fours and becomes less receptive to the emu’s pecking. The other basset hounds also look displeased with the emu and the hounds seem unsure how to react. The emu then confronts the second basset hound, who does not allow his ears to be pecked. The hound flinches and even gives a little bark of discontent to the emu.
Although basset hounds are known for their patience, it seems as though they have a limit too.
