You’ve Never Seen Autumn Like This Before
Within nature beauty can be found in many ways. Janek Sedlar is a photographer who spends 
his time capturing the beauty of nature regularly. He currently specializes in taking landscape photos 
and giving them a surreal twist. By using different camera settings such as color channels, adding 
saturation and other methods he captures the unique images he is currently popular for. At only twenty-
six years old Sedlar has only been known for his work for four years and is already makes waves in the 
photography field. With the unique beauty that he obtains in each of his surreal landscapes people are 
certain to see more of his work in the coming years.

Returning To Nature Purges The Mind 


He truly enjoys every minute his spends walking in nature while doing his work. He claims that 
it gives him inspiration in his daily life, while also allowing him time to turn his thoughts inward and 
adjust his mind state. “It's like a return to childhood.” Allowing himself this time to enjoy the 
wilderness is a chance to reflect in the moment. He also says “It regains my life energy and this 
experiences on my roads are reflecting in my images.” With this uncommon approach to his photos it 
opens up a variety of options to expand his portfolio. Having already accomplished such great pieces in 
only his local forests and meadows one can easily imagine the possibilities if Sedlar expands his work 
to entail other woods, meadows, and fields.

Growing up in the Czech Republic he has been using images from the White Carpathians nature 
research and the region of Moravia around his home region. He feels his has been a “serious 
photographer” since 2011 and told InterestingPhotographers.com that during his recent interview with 
them. His currently photography style is an unique way to capture nature and see it from different 
camera filters allows for a new perspective on how you see woods, meadows, and the wilds of nature. 
Sedlar truly enjoys the time he spends wondering aimlessly through the woods and meadows that he 
visits during his photo shoots. He revels in the feeling that he is able to relive the feeling of child-like 
activities and wants nothing more then to allow others to feel this through his work. Sharing the 
moment process through his camera which he says is like “meditation for me.”

A New Look At Nature

It is really no wonder that Sedlar admires the beauty and relaxing feeling of moving through the 
wilderness. With the only sounds coming from animals and the gentle rustling of leaves against each 
other. One can easily forget the troubles of adulthood and fall back into the feeling of child-like wonder 
and lose themselves. Then to take the time and apply a new twist to nature by taking photos under 
different filters to express new and unique views of an already beautiful and majestic atmosphere 
shows that Sedlar has a wonderful gift and skill. It is fantastic that his has taken his skill with a camera 
and given everyone a chance to experience nature in a different point of view.
