Benefits of Vertical Indoor Gardens, Hydroponic Gardening

A well-made and maintained garden is heavenly to see, much more if it’s located inside your house. Vertical indoor gardens, also dubbed as hydroponics gardening, are one of the most popular types of urban gardening these days. In fact, even those who have vacant lots at home opt for this system of gardening due to its various benefits. Indoor gardens are typically easier to maintain and less pricier compared to conventional gardening since you don’t need to prepare any land for the plants or a pesticide incase pesky pests swarm your garden. With a vertical indoor garden, you control the weather, growth of the plants and the overall look of your garden with less sweat. Here are some more advantages of vertical indoor gardening.

Beauty

There is probably nothing more rewarding to garden lovers when they come home with their home corners accented with beauteous, lively and green plants. There are actually a lot of specialized pots or vases that you can use for vertical indoor gardens. These plant containers come in various sizes, shapes, make and colors to give that added oomph to your indoor project. Aside from that, hydroponics garden are not limited to crops or vegetables only. You can also use indoor plants that provide greenery and cool appeal to your home.

Fresh Air

Since we are in high school, we have already been taught that plants collect carbon dioxide, which is an air pollutant, and in return release oxygen, which is technically the air we breathe. The oxygen from these plants are fresh and clean, especially when it comes from indoor gardens because these are not exposed to harmful radicals or dusts most of the time. Studies show that indoor plants trap at least 90% of the air pollutants present in our homes and in any other building structure, which come from paints, air conditioners and other appliances. This means that when you are into vertical indoor gardening, body issues like headache, colds, dizziness, sore throat and other similar illnesses brought about by air pollution are greatly reduced. You can also choose to include chamomile in your indoor garden for that fresh smelling home every second of the day.

Fruitful Activity

Who says vertical indoor gardening is for aesthetic purpose only? The most commonly opted plants for the activity include kale, lettuce, strawberries, peas, squash, Stevia and chamomile because they grow well in this type of gardening. Don’t you just love it when you have these plants near your window and all you have to do is reap a piece or two of its fruits every day? Not to mention that these are nutritious plants, too.

Emotional Aid

Tend, talk, or trim your plants whenever you feel that burning anger in you. Tending your babies instead of shouting to a person or breaking things is the best option to release anger. This regularizes your blood pressure, thus, keeping you at bay from cardiovascular arrests.
