Dog Can’t Believe His Own Snoring Habits

[HAHA]

In this viral video, a pet owner finds his dog snoring loudly on the couch. The owner takes a video of his dog and shows the evidence to his furry friend when he wakes up from his nap. The dog’s worrisome face is priceless. But now you may be wondering, why are there dogs that snore?

Causes of dog snoring include: obesity (the obstruction of airways from excess throat tissues), nasal allergies (to pollen, dust, or smoke), suffering from a cold, or your dog is a breed that’s predisposed to snoring (eg. Pekinese, Pugs, Boston Terriers). It’s best to keep your dogs healthy and take preventative measures to clear any airway constriction.

Make sure that your dogs exercise regularly to ensure they do not become overweight or obese. Keep their exposure to pollen, dust and smoke to a minimum by keeping the house clean and smoke-free and taking them outside when pollen levels are low and when there’s minimal traffic. You can also change their bed or sleeping posture to help with their air circulation. For breeds that are predisposed to snoring you can take them in to for a small surgery while they’re still pups. Be sure to check in with your local vet for more information on your dog’s specific snoring habits.
