Super Mario Bros. is an iconic game for anyone who was (or still is) addicted to Nintendo. Some of us may even dream of showing off our Super Mario Bros. skills in real life, but logistically it’s not possible for us to stomp on Goombas and Koopa Troopas or sensible to use our heads and fists to pound bricks. But with this video made by Twitter user, Yutako55, we can live vicariously through this hamster who makes his way through the first level of the 1985 Super Mario Bros. video game.

By request of his daughter, the hamster’s owner made this hamster-sized maze to resemble the classic first level. The owner made the maze with cut-outs of Mario, Goombas, a piranha plant, and Super Mario Bros. bricks. He even made the pipe go down into a crawl space, just like the game! The owner also made a little Mario hat for the hamster; and although the hamster refused to wear it, it was a nice added touch.

Even as a beginner to the world of Super Mario Bros., the hamster manages to complete the first level and make it to the fortress.
