Green crafts allow you to use every last piece of fabric. You can use excess sewing materials for creating necklaces, aprons, scrapbooks and many more activities, but if you still have an excess, you can pass your scraps on to a school in need. Many teachers looks for ways to save on projects in the classroom. You can donate materials like fabric scraps to be used in multiple project ideas for the classroom.

You can always donate scraps to a school by talking to your child’s teacher. Even if you don’t have kids or only have an older child, you can still talk to a friend with kids at a local kindergarten school or pre-k center. You may also want to donate to the art teacher of your school.
