Rocky, also known as the ‘Miracle Pig’, was rescued on July 9, 2016. He was only ten days old when he was found lethargic, sick with meningitis and pneumonia, and covered in lice. Rocky was brought to the hospital with only a 5% survival rate and was kept there for 17 days. Even though he was given a low chance of survival, Rocky beat the odds and is still alive today. He now spends his days at Ahimsa Acres Sanctuary being cared for as he recovers from his sickness. Rocky even has a
Facebook page where anyone can stay up-to-date on his road to recovery.
Ahimsa Acres Sanctuary gives animals a permanent place of refuge for animals that are sick, abandoned, or rescued. They respect each and every animal that finds their way into the sanctuary, and provide individualized care to help animals live their best lives possible.
