Thai fishermen were left shocked when they saw what they had just caught. That was a bizarre creature living in the deep waters of Thailand.

In the video clip, made by the fishermen the fish can be seen squirming and energetically biting the stick with its monstrous jaws. The fish reacts fast and vigorously and opens its mouth every time when it gets poked by the fishermen.

Finding such bizarre creatures in deep water is not unusual. There are numerous strange animals that live in the deepest parts of the ocean. These are places where no light could penetrate. Their ridges are typically covered with sensory structures, called papillae. These papillae help the fish successfully navigate through the silty habitat. This explains the creature's strongly reduced eyevision.In the dark and deep water, eyes are not really helpful and they stay undeveloped.
