This video filmed at the elephant pool in the Seoul Grand Park Zoo in South Korea shows us the power of teamwork in the tight knit social structure of elephants. When the baby elephant falls into the deep end of the pool, the two adult elephants around the pool act fast to prevent the baby from drowning.
From the moment the baby elephant falls off the edge, it appears to be struggling to keep its head up. Luckily, the two elephants by the pool act fast. One adult elephant actually pushes the other adult to enter the pool to save her calf. As they enter the pool together, they approach the baby elephant and get him back to safety. They bring the baby elephant up the ramp and back on solid ground. During the rescue mission, you can also see another elephant rushing from the other part of the enclosure to find out what has happened.
This baby elephant is fortunate enough to have a community of elephants that will come together to rescue him in any time of need.
