The United States Department of Veterans Affairs works to help support United States Veterans. Backed by the county, and partners of many organizations associated with the government groups and corporate businesses, the group survives on donations and support of the people. The group, based out of Washington, DC, works to honor these veterans and provide social services, financial support and advice, job search opportunities, medical care, and more for those who have served our country. The United States Department of Veterans Affairs encourages support of veterans and even helps veterans get accustomed to life after war and service by helping them become more active in their communities. Life after service can be hard for veterans to adjust to, especially with injuries, and side effects of war, so the United Stated Department of Veterans Affairs works to provide services to help our veterans and thank them for their time serving. As a country, the organization feels that the people who serve our country ought to be looked after upon their return, as a way to give thanks for their service and for them to understand that they are appreciated by the citizens of the United States. The group accepts donation and volunteers to help out the men and women who have served time protecting our country, and has several opportunities and places where individuals can give back and serve these veterans.
